Pickle & Taps Combine & Draft Weekend
Get ready for a competitive, high-energy weekend at Pickle & Taps.
We’re excited to host our 1st Combine & Draft Weekend on Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st. This event is designed for advanced intermediate players with a DUPR rating between 3.5 and 3.99 who are ready to test their skills, compete, and experience a team-based draft format.
The combine is limited to 25 men and 25 women. Players will rotate through skill stations focused on serve/return, 3rd shots, resets, blocks/defense, and forehand/backhand. After the combine, 15 men and 15 women will be drafted by local top players to form teams of 3 men and 3 women.
Drafted teams will compete in an MLP-style round robin with rally scoring to 21. Each matchup includes men’s, women’s, and mixed games, with each team playing a total of 16 games.
Non-drafted players will still have the opportunity to compete on Sunday in a consolation random-pairs King/Queen of the Court tournament.
