That’s why we’ve partnered with a select group of trainers who share our passion for pickleball and have a proven track record of helping players achieve their goals. To be considered a Cape Fear Pickleball Club Recommended Trainer, individuals have submitted an application of interest and interviewed with current the Cape Fear Pickleball Club Board of Directors. While the BOD has complied this list, there is no direct responsibility on the part of the BOD for any interaction between an instructor and his/her, students/clients.

Jesse Simon
Jesse Simon is the House of Pickleball’s (HOP) Head Pro and is your ultimate destination for top-notch pickleball training! Jesse is an experienced professional pickleball trainer who brings a wealth of expertise to the court. With over a decade of tournament experience, Jesse holds an impressive 5.3 DUPR pickleball rating and proudly represents Paddletek as a sponsored player. Having clinched over 60 medals at the competitive 5.0 level, including a notable silver medal at the 2018 US Open in the men’s singles category, Jesse’s dedication to excellence is undeniable. Notably, he secured a bronze medal at the US Open in the 35+ men’s doubles division. Beyond his accomplishments, Jesse is an IPTPA-certified instructor and holds National Board Certification as a Math Teacher. Jesse’s well-rounded background extends to collegiate tennis as a player at Fairmont State from 2001 to 2004. Not only an athlete, but Jesse has a creative mind, by most recently, invented and developed the engaging game “Pickle Bucket”, a game he developed to help pickleball players improve their skills. Todd “Mojo” Muffley
Mojo is an accomplished player and instructor with a passion for pickleball. He possesses a wealth of expertise that he enthusiastically brings to the court, guiding and empowering his students to reach their pickleball goals. From beginners to advanced players, Mojo’s unique ability to connect with his students allows for their rapid skill development. One of Mojo’s key strengths lies in promoting a solid foundation of control and strategic thinking, instilling in his students the essential building blocks for their success on the court. Henry Boyle
Henry Boyle is a multifaceted sports talent and dedicated tennis and pickleball trainer. Originally from London, he gained recognition as a nationally ranked junior tennis player, earning a tennis scholarship to Concord University and Chestnut Hill College. Henry’s coaching journey began at Twin City Tennis Camps during college, leading to an MBA and coaching positions at Averett University and Grove City College, where he became the youngest NCAA Head Coach at 23 years old. In Wilmington, NC, he established Carolina Tennis & Pickleball, fostering vibrant tennis and pickleball communities. As an Adidas Sponsored Player, Henry has quickly advanced in the pickleball community, achieving a Pickleball DUPR rating high of 5.46 in Doubles, the highest rated player in Wilmington and in the Top 10 players in NC. He received his first singles & doubles professional wins at the PPA Charlotte in May 2023, clinching gold and silver wins in prestigious events like the HOP Moneyball and the 2023 NC State Open Moneyball Singles and leaving his mark as a dynamic force in sport of pickleball.

Antoine Hawkins is currently the Full time Pickleball Professional at Beau Rivage Golf and Resort. 37 years old from Greensboro NC. Antoine went to Grimsley High School where he played baseball and then went on to play collegiate baseball at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro graduating with a Bachelor’s degree.
After graduating college, Antoine went on to work for the YMCA of Greensboro as the Senior level Sports Director where he was in charge of all sports for 8 local branches in the Greensboro area. In August of 2023, Antoine decided that it was time for a change. He resigned from the YMCA and started working for a country club in Greensboro. This is where he picked up Pickleball, and the rest is History. He began playing and practicing daily, participating in local tournaments, and was able to pick up the game very quickly.
In November of 2023, he decided that wanted to do more than just play Pickleball. He wanted to help others learn the game the way that he did so in November he decided to get certified to teach and become an instructor. Antoine has always been a great leader and coach, and once he becomes passionate about something he’s locked in.
Antoine begin running clinics, private lessons, social nights and leagues at his local club in Greensboro, and once he moved to Wilmington in January of 2024, he just continued to hit the ground running. He quickly joined the team at Carolina Tennis and Pickleball and took the lead on all clinics, private lessons, and league nights. He quickly built a solid representation for himself as not just being a great player/coach, but a great guy, that enjoys teaching and helping others.

Chris Baker
While growing up, Chris fell in love with tennis and ping pong. His parents invested in private lessons as Chris played in tournaments and was the MVP of his high school tennis team.
As an adult, he rediscovered his love for paddle sports finding Pickleball at his local YMCA. From then on, he was hooked and quickly advanced from a 3.5 to a 4.0+ player taking gold in the local HOP Winter Blast tournament in 4.0+.
Chris loves sharing his knowledge of the game and coaching beginner and intermediate level players to rise to the next level of the game by helping them improve their shots, form, and consistency.
