To become a Cape Fear Pickleball Club Recommended Trainer, individuals must submit an application and complete an interview with our Board of Directors. While the board curates this list, it does not assume responsibility for any agreements or interactions between instructors and their clients.

Henry Boyle

Henry Boyle is a dynamic and accomplished tennis and pickleball coach with a passion for helping players reach their full potential. Originally from London, Henry was a nationally ranked junior tennis player before earning athletic scholarships to Concord University and Chestnut Hill College.
His coaching career began during college at Twin City Tennis Camps, eventually leading to positions at Averett University and Grove City College—where he became the youngest NCAA Head Coach in the nation at just 23 years old.
Now based in Wilmington, NC, Henry is the founder of Carolina Tennis & Pickleball, where he’s built thriving communities for both sports. As an Adidas-sponsored player, Henry has made a name for himself in competitive pickleball, earning a DUPR doubles rating of 6.0—the highest in Wilmington and among the top 10 players in North Carolina.
His competitive accolades include professional singles and doubles wins at the PPA Charlotte in May 2023, along with gold and silver finishes at events like the HOP Moneyball and NC State Open Moneyball Singles. Henry continues to make a strong mark as both a coach and competitor in the fast-growing world of pickleball.

Jesse Simon

Jesse Simon is the Head Pro at the House of Pickleball (HOP) in Leland and your go-to resource for top-tier pickleball instruction.
With over a decade of tournament experience and a DUPR rating of 5.49, Jesse combines elite playing skill with a deep passion for teaching. He’s a Paddletek-sponsored athlete, a certified IPTPA instructor, and a National Board Certified Math Teacher—bringing a unique blend of athletic excellence and instructional expertise to the court.
Jesse’s competitive achievements include more than 60 medals at the 5.0 level, including a silver medal at the 2018 US Open in men’s singles and a bronze in 35+ men’s doubles. A former collegiate tennis player at Fairmont State University (2001–2004), Jesse continues to compete and coach at the highest levels of the sport.
Jesse is also the inventor of Pickle Bucket, a creative and engaging training game designed to help players sharpen their skills through purposeful practice.

Todd “Mojo” Muffley

Mojo is a passionate and highly skilled pickleball instructor known for his ability to connect with players of all levels—from first-time beginners to seasoned competitors. With a deep knowledge of the game and an infectious enthusiasm, Mojo helps his students develop quickly, both in skill and confidence.
A strong believer in mastering the fundamentals, Mojo emphasizes control, strategy, and smart decision-making on the court. His students consistently praise his coaching style, earning him flawless 5-star reviews on Facebook (Mojo Pickleball).
Beyond the court, Mojo is a proud U.S. Army veteran and a successful entrepreneur, leading his own digital marketing agency, Plan B (www.think-b.com). Antoine Hawkins

Antoine Hawkins is the Full-Time Pickleball Professional at Beau Rivage Golf & Resort, bringing energy, experience, and a passion for teaching to every lesson and clinic. Originally from Greensboro, NC, Antoine is a former collegiate baseball player who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree.
After college, Antoine spent over a decade as the Senior Sports Director for the YMCA of Greensboro, overseeing youth and adult sports programs across eight branches. In 2023, he made a pivotal career shift—leaving the YMCA and stepping into the world of pickleball. What began as a casual introduction quickly became a calling.
By the fall of 2023, Antoine was competing in tournaments and training daily. His natural coaching ability and leadership background led him to pursue teaching certification and begin instructing others. His dedication and enthusiasm were immediately apparent, and he quickly became a sought-after coach in the Greensboro pickleball community.
In January 2024, Antoine relocated to Wilmington and hit the ground running—joining Carolina Tennis & Pickleball and taking the lead on clinics, private lessons, league nights, and social events. Known for his approachable style, clear instruction, and unwavering commitment to his students, Antoine has built a strong reputation not only as a skilled coach but as someone who genuinely enjoys helping others succeed.

Chris Baker

Chris grew up with a deep love for paddle sports, spending countless hours on the court playing tennis and ping pong. His parents recognized his enthusiasm early on, investing in private lessons as he competed in tournaments and earned MVP honors on his high school tennis team.
Years later, Chris rediscovered that passion when he picked up a paddle at his local YMCA and found pickleball—and he was instantly hooked. He quickly progressed from a 3.5 to a 4.0+ rated player, highlighted by a gold medal win in the 4.0+ division at the HOP Winter Blast tournament.
Today, Chris channels his love for the game into coaching, working primarily with beginner and intermediate players to help them improve their technique, boost consistency, and gain confidence on the court. His positive energy and approachable style make him a favorite among students looking to elevate their game.
